The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce has officially renamed our popular annual business golf event in honor of our late President and CEO, Jerry Roper. The golf outing was Jerry’s favorite Chamber event because he enjoyed the special comradery that golf inspires and the laughter this sometimes maddening sport provokes. It is only fitting to rename this event to celebrate and remember this superb leader and passionate advocate, whose boundless energy, keen commitment, and tireless work contributed mightily to the strength and vibrancy of the business climate and economic future of Chicagoland.

Join us Tuesday, August 20! Registration and lunch begin at 11 a.m. The practice range is open before the scramble’s shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. After a day on the course, enjoy a buffet dinner and drinks at the awards reception starting at 6 p.m. Fabulous gifts, prizes and awards are sure to make this day a hole-in-one!

If you can’t show your support in person, consider showing your support by helping to sustain and expand the Jerry Roper Internship Program

This fund was established upon Jerry’s retirement from the Chamber in October 2013. The program has allowed Chicago-area college students the opportunity to work at the Chamber, where they gain not only professional experience in their field of study, but also invaluable knowledge of Chicago’s business community.

The Internship Program is housed within the Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. Contributions to the Internship Program are tax deductible as provided by law.To donate, Click Here.
